Addressing these rumors, veteran actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha dismissed them in an interview, expressing pride in his daughter and affirming his presence at her wedding.
Shatrughan Sinha, accompanied by his wife, had also met Jehir Iqbal’s family and clicked pictures with his future son-in-law. Amidst all this, the prominent actor and politician has now confirmed the wedding reception date of Sonakshi and Jehir.
Speaking to Times Now, Shatrughan Sinha clarified, “First of all, a lot has changed since I last spoke to you. There are developments every hour. I cannot disclose the entire sequence of events because it’s a family matter. I had asked Pahlaj Nihalani to talk to you. But I thought direct communication would be better. Yes, my wife and I are part of the celebrations on June 23. This isn’t the wedding, it’s the reception where we will all gather on the evening of June 23.”
Regarding internal disputes within the Sinha family, Shatrughan Sinha stated, “No one in my family has said anything about the wedding. Some media outlets are speculating things. Too much attention is being given to something that is a private family matter. Weddings happen in everyone’s homes. Arguments are common before weddings. Now we are all fine. Whatever tension was there has been resolved.”
When asked if he resolved all family disputes before Sonakshi’s wedding, Shatrughan Sinha replied, “My daughter will get everything she wants in her life. These things happen in every wedding. Just because she is Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter doesn’t mean Sonakshi cannot have what she wants in life. We will have a great time on June 23.”
