Sneak Peek: Unreleased 2024 Maruti Swift Spotted on Indian Roads, Anticipated to Introduce Exciting New Feature

The 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift is set to be launched soon. It has already been launched in Japan, and Maruti Suzuki is expected to bring this popular hatchback to India as well. However, the Swift launching in India may have fewer features compared to its global model. A recent video has surfaced, showing the next-gen Swift during testing. Although the car was entirely camouflaged, making it difficult to discern design details.

According to the video from the Swift’s test mule, it appears to have a similar design to its global model. However, it may lack features such as ADAS, ventilated seats, and some other enhancements. In terms of exterior design, the car looks slightly evolved, appearing more sleek and sporty compared to the current version. The car comes with an attractive headlamp featuring dual-function projector lights. LED DRLs are integrated into the cluster, and turn indicators are placed just below.

Talking about the side profile, the design seems to be similar to the current version. However, instead of C-pillars, door handles have been provided on the doors. The car will feature a floating-type roof design. The rear portion of the upcoming Swift has also been redesigned, with the possibility of clear lens tail lamps with integrated LED elements.

The model seen in the video could be the top-end variant as it was equipped with a rear windshield wiper, defogger, and alloy wheels. It remains to be seen whether lower variants will come with halogen lights or standard LED units.

The new Swift’s interior may feature a two-tone layered dashboard, a floating touchscreen infotainment system, a 360-degree camera, reverse parking sensors, and a twin-pod analog instrument cluster with color MID. It is expected to be powered by Suzuki’s new 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine.

The Japanese version of this hatchback is available with manual and CVT options, and the manual version also comes with an AWD feature. However, in India, the new Swift is likely to come with a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox options, without the AWD setup.
