Ranveer Singh seems to be facing a rough patch in his movie career. Despite some successful films in the past, his recent projects haven’t been doing well. After the success of “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani,” he was expected to appear in several big projects, but unfortunately, they didn’t materialize. Let’s take a look at five major projects that Ranveer Singh lost out on:
1. Rakshas:
He was supposed to be part of Prashant Varma’s “Rakshas.” However, he opted out due to creative differences. The filmmaker has expressed interest in working with Ranveer in the future.
2. Baiju Bawra:
After working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in “Padmaavat” and “Ramleela,” Ranveer Singh was set to collaborate with him again for “Baiju Bawra.” However, according to reports, Bhansali is not currently focusing on this project, shifting his attention to “Love Story” featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal.
3. Shaktimaan:
There were talks about a film based on the popular show “Shaktimaan,” directed by Basu Joseph. However, Mukesh Khanna later clarified that he never stated Ranveer Singh would play the lead role in the film.
4. Takht:
Karan Johar’s multi-starrer “Takht” was highly anticipated, featuring Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, and Janhvi Kapoor. Ranveer was set to portray the character of Dara Shikoh. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the project has been put on hold.
5. Anniyan Remake:
Ranveer was reportedly in talks with S. Shankar for a psychological thriller remake. However, after the original film’s producer, Aascar Ravichandran, filed a complaint against Shankar, stating that he couldn’t proceed with the project without his consent, the status of the remake remains uncertain.
Despite these setbacks, Ranveer Singh continues to be a prominent figure in Bollywood, and fans are eagerly waiting to see him bounce back with new projects in the future.
