PVC Card DL: The Indian government has decided that all old driving licenses will be replaced with PVC cards. PVC cards are considered more durable and secure compared to the old book-style licenses. To convert your old driving license to a PVC card, you need to follow the steps below through online application:
Process:
1. Go to the Vahan Chalan Services portal.
2. Select your state.
3. Click on the Driving License tab.
4. Click on the Update option.
5. Upgrade to the PVC Card option.
6. Enter your driving license number.
7. Update your name.
8. Upload a scanned copy of your Aadhar card.
9. Receive OTP for verification.
10. Enter OTP and submit.
11. Your application will be successfully registered. You can check the status of your application on the Track tab.

Fee:
A fee of ₹200 is required for upgrading to the PVC card.
Time Frame:
The PVC card upgrade process takes approximately 30 days.

1. Your driving license should be valid for at least 6 months.
