Kapil Sharma has told the Enforcement Directorate (ED) that car designer Dilip Chhabria, who is accused of defrauding several celebrities, did not deliver the vanity van he had demanded. Also, he has also said that Dilip Chhabria has tried to blame him for the delayed delivery of the vanity van.
Kapil Sharma has also alleged that car designer Dilip Chhabria did not deliver the vanity van and tried to extort money from it illegally. In this matter, the statement of Mohammad Hamid of Kapil Sharma’s authorized establishment has been recorded by the Enforcement Directorate as part of the chargesheet against Dilip Chhabria in the money laundering case.
Summons have been issued for Dilip Chhabria and six more accused
A special PMLA court, which is monitoring the case, issued its charge sheet’s acceptance letter on 25.10.2019 and has issued summons to Dilip Chhabria and six other accused in the case. In this he has been asked to appear on 26th February. There are three FIR based ED cases against the accused in this case, which also includes Kapil Sharma’s fraud case.
Agreement between K9 Productions and Dilip Chhabria in 2017
In his statement before the ED, the representative of Kapil Sharma’s authorized establishment said that Kapil Sharma, who is the owner of K9 Productions, had approached Dilip Chhabria in December 2016 for the purchase of a vanity van. Subsequently, in March 2017, an agreement was signed between K9 Productions and Dilip Chhabria Design Private Limited (DCDPL) for the delivery of vanity vans for Rs 4.5 crore (excluding taxes).
Kapil Sharma’s production house paid Rs 5.31 crore
According to the statement, as per the terms of the agreement, Kapil Sharma’s production house had paid Rs 5.31 crore (including taxes). Hamid said that DCDPL neither gave the vanity van to Kapil Sharma nor returned any money. The statement claimed that more money was raised to blame Kapil Sharma for the delayed delivery of the vehicle.
