Honda NX500 Adventure Tourer: Honda has launched NX 500 Adventure Tourer. Its price has been kept at Rs 5.90 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). It will be imported through the CBU route and made available here. Like all big bikes from Honda, the NX 500 will be sold through the company’s Bigwing dealerships across the country. The deliveries of NX 500 are going to start from next month. It joins other flagship ADVs like the Transalp 750 and Africa Twin in the Bigwing lineup.
As far as features are concerned, the NX 500 includes a new LED headlight, new 5-inch digital TFT instrument console (Bluetooth connectivity), in-built navigation and backlit four-way toggle switch. The 5-inch TFT instrumentation features Honda RoadSync iOS/Android smartphone connectivity. Its screen is customizable and the rider can choose the display style as per his choice. The bike also has emergency stop signal and switchable traction control system.
The Honda NX 500 uses the same 471cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that powers the outgoing CB500X. However, this unit has been updated with a new ECU, which Honda claims has been smoothed out. The engine outputs 47 Bhp at 8,600 rpm and 43 Nm at 6,500 rpm. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch.
Commenting on the launch of the NX 500, Yogesh Mathur, Director (Sales & Marketing), Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India said, “We are very happy to introduce the NX 500 in the Indian market within three months of its global debut. We are sure that the NX 500 will definitely excite adventure buyers in India.”
