According to sources, in the fields of farmer Ramveer Mariya, located on the bypass in Sainpou town, an electronic device with a red light was found hanging from a peepal tree, apparently fallen from the sky. The wings and string of the electronic device got entangled with the peepal tree. In the evening, when the farmers saw the red light of the electronic device burning, it caused a commotion.
Farmers arrived at the scene, assuming it to be an explosive device, and observed from a distance. The police were informed of the incident. Station in-charge Harbhajan Singh, along with a police team, assessed the situation at the scene. After discussing with senior officials and bomb disposal squads, they lifted the electronic device for examination. It was seen that “Made in Korea” was written on the device, and it also had the word “Weather” in English.
The station in-charge mentioned that in the preliminary investigation, the electronic device is being considered as a research instrument. The device has been seized, and the police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
