Samsung Electronics has unveiled its new lineup of QLED, MICRO LED, OLED, and lifestyle displays ahead of CES 2024. Alongside, they have introduced AI screens with the next-generation AI processor to redefine the capabilities of smart displays. The new lineup not only provides enhanced photo and sound quality but also offers users secure AI-based features through Samsung Knox.
The President and Head of Samsung’s Visual Display Business, W. Young Yoon, stated, “Now that we are in the hyper-connected era, it’s not just about delivering a quality visual experience. The display should enhance our lives both on and off the screen.”
Samsung’s new Neo QLED 8K and 4K TV packages include features like rear photo quality, premium audio technology, and a comprehensive series of apps and services. The 2024 Neo QLED 8K series is powered by the new NQ8 AI Gen3 processor, featuring a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) for improved performance. It includes advanced features such as 8K AI Upscaling Pro, AI Motion Enhancer Pro, Real Depth Enhancer Pro, Infinity Air Design, 2024 Q-Symphony, and Active Voice Amplifier Pro.
The 2024 Tizen OS on Neo QLED 8K models brings content front and center, providing a personalized content and service experience based on user accounts. Users can set up profiles for different household members, allowing for personalized recommendations and a more customized experience.
Samsung’s ecosystem integration allows for improved connectivity between devices, enabling seamless integration between the TV and other compatible devices such as smartphones or wearables. Features like Mobile Smart Connect, 360 Audio, and Vibrary enhance the audio experience and offer users audio subtitle, remote for barrier-free, and Relumino Together Mode.
Micro LED
Samsung showcased a new transparent MICRO LED that uses a small Micro LED chip and an improved manufacturing process. This transparent Micro LED can be used for both homes and B2B applications.
Samsung OLED TV
The 2024 OLED TV lineup builds upon last year’s models, including the S95D with an ultra-large 77-inch canvas for high detail, high frame rate, and more realistic videos. The display is 20% brighter than the previous models.
New Lifestyle Products
Samsung introduced several new lifestyle products in addition to its award-winning lifestyle lineup (The Frame, The Serif, and The Terrace). This includes “Screen Everywhere, Screen for All,” featuring The Frame, The Premiere 8K projector, and The Freestyle Second Generation.
New Soundbars
In addition to home entertainment setups, the 2024 soundbar lineup includes updated models for a more immersive audio experience. These soundbars work on advanced AI algorithms and include models like the Music Frame, HW-Q990D, and HW-S800D.
